Let's Celebrate: Friendsgiving

Celebrate those closest to you by hosting a Friendsgiving this holiday season! Invite your loved ones and enjoy an evening together while appreciating those around you. If it is your first-time hosting…don’t stress. We put together an easy Friendsgiving Host Guide to ensure it is a party to remember!

The Invites

The first step is to set a date and pick your guest list. It is helpful to set the date for your Friendsgiving at least a week before actual thanksgiving to ensure that you have a good turn out and don’t conflict with anyone’s family plans. Send your guests invitations, evites or just a good old text to let them know about your event and be sure they RSVP.

The Eats

The best thing about Friendsgiving is there are no expectations. This untraditional holiday lets you be as creative as you want with your menu. If you have your heart set on all of the classics, save time by planning a potluck and have your friends each bring their own side dish. You can provide the bird but make it simple by going for a rotisserie chicken or wings. If you are not a fan of these traditional eats cook your favorite foods. The key is sharing good food with good friends, not necessarily about a perfect menu. See our Pinterest for decor and food inspo!

The Vibes

Good vibes are the icing on the cake to making your Friendsgiving memorable. Plan an upbeat playlist to have in the background of your party. Give your guests something to do by setting out fun board games, card games, or a thanksgiving themed tv-show or movie playing. Finally, create an instagram moment in the room. Make a festive banner or grab some balloons and give your friends a space to take pictures to remember your time together.

The Look

Now that you have the keys to planning your perfect Friendsgiving you focus on your look. We put together a few of our favorite pieces for the evening, happy celebrating!
