5 Ways To Get Ready Faster

We have all been there...hitting the snooze one to many times, continuously changing outfits, running around the house looking your phone, keys, etc. Let us help to change up your morning routine to get ready quicker and starting your day off right!

1. No snooze

Hitting the snooze button is a dangerous path to take, trust me. I know it is tempting but somehow hitting one snooze leads to another and by the time you wake up, you only have twenty minutes to get ready. Pro tip – leave your phone far enough from my bed so you have to get up in order to turn it off. This helps because it forces you to get out of bed, instead of being able to reach for your phone. Another trick is to set your alarm to a song rather than a noise. Find what works best for you, but if you want to get ready quicker, you have to stop hitting snooze.

2. Pick out your outfit the night before

Picking out your outfit the night before is an absolute game changer when it comes to getting ready quicker! The endless cycle of trying on three to five outfits, not liking any of them, only to end up wearing the first one is easily preventable. Try on our outfit the night before and have it ready when you wake up so you do not waist time in the morning staring at your closet.

3. Place everything you need in the same room

How is it that we always have the feeling that we are missing something? Setting everything you need for the day in one place will help with that unsettling feeling of forgetting something. It will save you a lot of time running around the house trying to find everything you need ~ keys upstairs, purse downstairs, phone somewhere, etc. Plan ahead and walk out the door in a few short minutes!

4. Stay off your phone

This one is hard but probably the most effective. It is natural to get on your phone the moment you wake up to see what all you missed while you were sleeping. We’re not saying you cannot do this {because some messages need an answer} but scrolling social media can wait. We all know the seconds turn into minutes very quickly! Pro tip – check your notifications and wait for a break in the day to browse social media. This may be a challenge but it will allow you to get ready quicker and leave on time.

5. Set an alarm for 10 minutes before you have to leave

If it is a busy morning, you may not always be aware of the time. You may think you have 30 minutes when you only have 5 and when you go to check your phone its almost time to go! Setting an alarm for 10 minutes before you need to leave will help you stay on track and pick up your pace if needed. It will give you a better understanding of the time you have left to walk out the door.
